Relay Parts Pricing--Bay Area--Newbie SPG owner

Hello,
I recently purchased a very well maintained 1988 900 spg and moved to the bay area, or as I like to call it, "land of the Saabs".
Being a newbie to the saab world, I'd like to get a better feel for the availability of common parts, recommended mechanics in the bay area and ordinary pricing.
Immediate point of conern are the relays. I noticed my headlights not working upon start-up. I checked the fuses and removed the relay and wiped the contacts -- No more problem. However, I need to get an understanding of the availibility of parts and pricing for relays.
Is a relay considered a common part that is readily availabile?
Is this a dealer part or can I find this item at the local auto parts store?
For the 'classic' body style, has Saab (or GM) began to think about dicontinuing parts distribution. (What I'd like to call the death of the merkur, my prior car.)
As for the mechanic scene, does anyone have any preference on either Peter's Zaab, Marin Saab/Volvo or "Planet Saab" in the city. (For purposes of geographic preference, I live in Pinole/Hilltop and I work in San Rafael).
Thanks in advance for putting up with such silly questions.
Regards,
robb
