Credit for this idea to Jim Moncrief at Sobstory. Get a spare fuel rail banjo bolt and drill a hole in the end, tap the hole for 1/8 inch npt pipe thread. I forget the exact size drill for the tap, but a good hardware store will have the exact drill and the tap. Then screw in a short piece of pipe 1/8 inch and and seal with teflon tape. Use a piece of fuel line with hose clamps to connect the pipe to a shrader valve extension adapeter. A standard $35 fuel pressure gauge will then hook up to the makeshift adapter. Unbolt the fuel rail banjo bolt and replace with the adapter and your all set to read pressure.
That said, I'd bet on a AMM problem for your car. Swap in a known good one...takes 3 minutes.
