How do you flush your AT? w/ machine?

HI,

My AT is leaking around the gasket and I need to get the entire pan replaced since I have the old style pan that has the gasket and pan as one.

I called to set up an appt. at a indie saab place and asked for the pan replacement and to get my tranny flushed.However, they said they do not have a machine to flush the tranny and referred me to a dealer.

But I called another indie saab mechanic and he said a tranny flush is a simple process of just draining tranny fluid, adding more, and draining again until all the tranny fluid is completely clean.

Is this all a tranny flush is? Or would a dealer or certain indie shops have a special flush machine for the tranny. If so, which way is the best way to flush an AT?

btw... I was quoted around $100 for the tranny flush, and $100 for replacing the old pan w/new pan. I already bought a new pan but would be charged for the gasket.
