I think I am getting a bit lost on this but here's an attempt. The converter changes seperate turn and brake lights to combined brake/turn lights. So, four wires going into the converter change to three coming out. Going into the converter you have: tail light, brake light, right turn, and left turn.Coming out you now have: tail lights to both low trailer lights and combo brake and turn- one right and one left, to corresponding right and left trailer high lights. [ my 'high' is the brighter filament in the two filament bulb] In the converter the flashing turn indicator changes the corresponding side trailer brake light to flashing. So when you are braking and turning the bright is brake on one side and flashing turn on the other. I hope this helps. I think Saab made a plug in trailer wiring kit, but probably long since discontinued.
