Must the dash come off in order to access ground

behind the dash? My lights are acting up (when the headlights are on the turn signals (lft side) illiminate, but do not flash). I think its a bad ground. I've checked the rear grounds, the radiator cross member grounds, and the inner fender ground point. I think only the behind the dash ground is left. Must the dash come off or is the ground accessable through the speaker?
TIA
TM
