The front wheel bearings are one-piece captive type. They will stay in place in the spindles and will require no adjustment/replacing/replacement unless something is SERIOUSLY seized.
Do not pull too hard on the inner axle to get the stub axle out or you may tear the CV joint boot. The balls should not fall out of the outer CV joint if you don't remove the inner axle from the joint (and you have to really work at that goal to make it happen -- it involves removal of a circlip inside the joint). If they fall out with the axle assembled, you need to replace the joint anyway as it is worn beyond use. The outer joint is designed to stay together, unlike the inner driver.
