Failed Emissions - Follow up

Hi,
I posted yesterday. Thanks for the help (still need more). Here's what I found...
O2 snesor seems okay. While idling - Min 0.172V, Max 0.852V, Avg. 0.565V
(Measured while in circuit according to Ari.) When I let in some air through a vacuum fitting reading went way down.
Found vacuum leak where hose enters Charcoal canister. Short rubber hose
was completely rotted and cracked through. I suspect it was a pretty bad
leak. Rest of hoses are in very good condition - must be new. Is this leak enough to push my NOx to 2305 vs. standard of 1323 ???
Air Mass Meter - did basic glowing wire test. It passed that okay. Should I go further with AMM testing ?? I have an AMM from a '88 Volvo which appears identicle except it has the plugged adjusting screw by the connector. Part number is different in the last three digits. Is it safe to plug it in and try it?
Timing was 16 deg. BTDC at idle. Should have been 14 according to spec.
but you can't adjust timing on an '89 900. How far off is too far and
should I worry about this ?
Vacuum was steady at 21" while at idle with VERY little variation. Fixing the above leak did not seem to change the reading.
Fuel pressure - did not check yet. How do I tap into the fuel rail? All hoses are rigid plastic with banjo fittings. My Bently manual shows a picture but it appears to be missing the gage. Need some help here.
Thanks in advance.
Jim
