I agree with DS Start at the low pressure switch and jumper it out. It is the two wires that plug in to your reciever drier. If you don't know where that it is follow the smaller hose off of your compressor down to the right fender area the reciver drier is where this hose connects. you will see a little switch thing with two wires on the top of the reciever. unplug the two wires[blue wires if my memory serves]and jumper them together[I use a paper clip]. with the engine running the very front[firewall side] of the compressor should be turning with the pulley. check this and then post your results. Also if the compressor does not start try pushing in the recirc button on the dash and see if that does it[sometimes people will cross connect the recirc button and the ac button when removing the dash insert, they have the same plug]
