it makes a big difference doesn't it. I bought a liftime copper modine for 260ish?? at al's when they matched havlik in kirkland. i suspect that yours was perhaps a better choice but hey...it said modine...what do I know. with ported head and good flow at low boost's it should run much cooler. You need now to only emulate your hero ( me...:) and put on the amsoil dual filter block and put on a k&n cone type until you go with the front mount IC. I ASSURE you...you will never tell the diff on inlet temps at speeds over 25mph. if you were racing everyday yeah...but not in a daily driver. your excess heat is only a problem when the car can't shed it. i.e. full power all the time...bad radiator etc. you did a bang up job on everything mechanical. if you would only believe.......
you will be worhiping that oil filter setup in 2k miles. 6.2 qt capacity... stays clean forever....if you showed up like that i might even consider the panels....or maybe not...I have not really ruled anything out. I am almost ready to dump the cvt and get a project car. I like projects.
later...
