That's what I'm thinking- that Dexron was mistakenly just on the invoice. However, it was a pretty long and detailed invoice listing every single part including 77 cent cap screw, 30 cent flat washer, crimp lock nut etc... very detailed. How could they goof up on such an important thing such as the fluid type. After all the only reason my 900 was in the shop was because of trans service.
Also don't the new Saab's and Volvo's use Dexron? The mechanic I saw working on my car was a very young guy. I think they use the newbie mechanic's to do simple services. Is it likely that new Saab mechanics would think all Saabs use Dexron?
In either case I guess I'll never really know what they put in. When I call, they could say it was Type F, even if they put in Dexron by mistake as the invoice stated.
Would it be reasonable to ask for them to replace the fluid with Type F even if I did not ask for Type F when I brought it in? They are a scandia shop from which I found on this website. thanks
