Haha, naah! No need to feel like an azz. My g/f was shocked to see her Prelude (when she bought it new) with the 'rusty' rotors. It is pretty common to see them and be freaked out. As soon as you go out, drive the car for 5 minutes.. they will be polished shiny clean :> Of course the parts where your pads don't hit the rotors will be a bit orange, but this is just what you get with steel rotors. One day we'll be able to get some of those new Brembo ceramic rotors on our 2003 9-3 Aeros (if we have the money :>
If you had $200 to burn it would be kinda 'nice' to have stainless
steel rotors just for the aesthetics.. and not having to see orange
rotors after driving on a rainy day.. but I'm not sure if it is worth
it. That money could be put somewhere else.. considering (as I said)
you'll see S4's, etc.. with rusty rotors if you just go to the dealer
after a rainy day. :)
take care,
Ryan
