85 900T, 171K miles. Not my daily driver anymore. Take it out about once a week. Has been hard to start when outside temp is above 80F (turns over fine but seems to have vapor lock or something). After finally starting it in such a state last night (had to open hood) got some hesitation and shuddering as I accelerated onto highway (and possible sulfur smell) -- turbo needle half into yellow. Thought I would look into that. Then about 2 miles down the road it started to lose power, shudder, tach needle bouncing around. Of course this was in the middle of a construction area with no shoulder. I willed it to the end of the no shoulder area with almost no power, backfiring and a red hot catalytic converter. I have a Bentley and Haynes and would surmise this is a problem of poor fuel delivery or way too much air leaking in (there is fuel in the tank or at least the gauge says so). Any thoughts on where to start would be very helpful. Thanks in advance.
