Their is an o-ring on the oil pickup tube where it meets the oil pump fitting. I just had a similar problem, but my problem surfaced when I replaced the transmission and must have bumped it. I've found through research that this is a common problem with saabs after a certain age. The o-ring hardens and begins to lose it's sealing properties. My problem was exactly as you stated. When I slowed to a stop the oil light would come on or flicker as the level of oil was pushed forward and the oil pump would suck air. I could rev the engine and the oil pump would prime enough for the light to go out. I would wonder if for some reason your car has developed the same problem without being bumped. Regardless you don't want to drive the car any distance if that light is on. You will destroy your engine in a matter of minutes or maybe seconds without any oil pressure. I would recommend added some seal restorer/rubber softener in your next oil change and if the problem persists try the alignment tool through the oil pump to make sure the pickup tube is aligned properly and in place.
Good Luck
