The heat stuck on problem is one of two things:

1) The rod that opens and closes the heater control valve has fallen off
2) The heater control valve is bad.

1 is easy troubleshoot, take out the drivers side speaker on the dash and look down through the windshield. A rod comes out from the temperature dial to the heater control valve in the firewall. The rod may have fallen off the valve. Not the easiest thing to put back on, but do-able.

2 is not so fun. The valves either seem to fail by leaking antifreeze or they become stuck open or closed. A do it yourself job (I've done 3 or 4) but you have to become a contortionist for a while.

The wheel being at an angle concerns me. It could be the car out (WAY OUT) of alignment, but I would be worried about something a little bigger, like the frame being bent. You should have that looked at by a Saab mechanic.

Sorry don't know much about that rest, I'm sure you'll get further answers from the board.
