1989 900 T Convertible, was acting crazy, loping rpm's bad fuel pressure not drivable. Before I replaced the fuel components I took the advice of someone on the forum and replaced the ecu with an exact duplicate. The car runs great now........... but ........ the stupid top won't go down.
I checked the relays under the rear seat, took them apart and they had some serious build up on them, I clean them put them back in and ran the switch. I could hear the contacts working which told me the switch was definately doing something and the contacts were getting juice ..... but NO action from the motor.
I had the emergency brake up and ran through the motions ....... nothing!
During this inspection of the ecu problem I looked under the shifter, I looked under the rear seat and I looked under the hood around the air intake for the plug for the diagonis of the system. I don't think I hit anything but I may have.
Any comments please forward.
