Then either your check valve is not sealing as Keith suggests, or you may have leaky injectors. But leaky injectors usually take more a few minutes to cause slow starting. From past experience, a few hours will definately give enough time for injectors to cause long cranking.
One more thought, the fuel pressure regulator might be leaking. Pull the vacuum hose to it at the manifold and see if it holds vacuum(I suck on it, but tecnically you could get some gas in your mouth).
To really check everything out you should do a fuel pressure leak down test, but that requires a fuel pressure tester with a fuel rail adapter, which is expensive or you have to make an adapter by tapping the end of a spare fuel rail banjo bolt with a shrader valve fitting to use with an elcheapo pressure tester. Have a shop do it.
