Am looking at 88 turbo for sale. I know nothing about turbos or 16 V.. Now drive 85 8V and have done some work to keep it running well. A nice car to drive but lacks reliability, compared to Toyota, my other car. This turbo seems ok on outside, has obvious sunroof problems but not much rust or apparent frame damage. Once under the hood or out for a drive what should i look, feel or listen for in regards to turbo functioning. Also does 88 have ABS brakes or other difficult functions compared to 85. I will offer $1000 so i can afford some acceptance of problems. Has 5 speed, which i am familiar with. Any/all advice on such cars welcome. It is a 2 door with hatch and rear window scoop, faded red.
