My car and the cars of many, many others who frequent this board have this same problem. I've tried a myriad of fixes without success, which include the following;
Vacuum leak repairs
Replaced Air Mass Meter
Replaced AIC Valve
Replaced O2 Sensor
Replaced Throttle Dashpot
Replaced Spark Plugs, Distributor, Wires
Repaired wiring harness (lost insulation on many wires)
Verified variable resistance output of Temperature Sensor
Verified correct operation of Throttle Position Sensor
Verified voltages/resistances at Main Electronic Control Unit.
I'm at a loss as to where to look next.
My main question: Why does cold idle problem go away when the engine is warm? The engine idles so well when warm, as if all components are functioning correctly.
Any advice anyone?
