Turn your headlight on, do they light up? If not, your battery is stone dead. In this condition, it will drain away enough voltage that a jump might not work. If dead, put a battery charge on low charge on the battery for a few hours. An alternate, hook up jumper cables, then start the other vehicle and let it run for an hour. This might put enough charge in the battery that a jump will then start it. NEVER try to start a car with jumper cables while the other car is running. This can destroy the voltage regulaor, or even the alternator on the car that's running. You could also have a bad bettery, but the only way to test it is to charge it and have a load test put on it. Some good silicone lube will probably free up the ignition switch.
If, on the other hand, the lights worked, then you've probably got a bad ignition switch.
P.S. The trunk light switch left in the on position has killed many a Saab battery.
