1989 Saab 900 Turbo, Texas car, almost completly restored, new radiator, thermostat, hoses, clamps, antifreze, no leaks ..... turbo been rebuilt with all new valves etc., everything apears strong.

I do get some oil seapage from the head gasket but not serious.

I put relay in place one year ago to keep fans operating full time.

Recently started this, when running around town it stays at medium all the time and runs great, when riding out on the highway it runs almost up to the red mark, not quiet.

I am thinking maybe water pump but I am thinking if the water pump was bad it would run hot during around town driving, so it must be something I am overseeing.

I also noticed that if I am running on the highway at 55 it does not run as hot as I am running at 65 or 70 mph. I also turned the heater on which caused it to go down some.

Any suggestions please forward.
