Just did all of this on my 92 900S. Got ball joints @$20 ea, and rebuilt half shafts from sobstory (board advertiser)at $69 ea with a core charge that is refundable on return. Not sure if you would get the core if you blew out the one on yours. I debated getting new axles at $250 each, but the age and intended use as a commuter didn't seem to justify the extra cash. You may also want to do your wheel bearings since you have everything apart, but you will need access to a press. I also did the engine mounts, you can get away with doing just the front, probably, again $28 fron sobstory. And I threw in tie rod ends from a local store at $29 each. Made a big difference in the ride and handling. You don't mention shocks, but those should go in also. Then get it aligned.
Allow a good two days to get it done, allowing for the machine shop trips on the bearings. Good luck.
