When I first bought my C82T, it was in dire need of overhaul along several fronts. Among those the radiator. I suspected there would be a problem when I tried to drain the coolant from the tap at the rad base and just a trickle flowed, followed by thick matter after some prodding. I reasoned that not just the base was clogged with matter, that there was probably pockets of stuff in there that even a force flush by hose would not remove. Time for the rough stuff. By that I mean I removed the radiator and began banging it around on a piece of plywood, dropping it this way and that, followed by force flushing. Mind you, the banging wasn't hard enough to inflict damage, but enough to jar the deposits loose. Every time I flushed it following this rough handling, additional gunk would flow out. Eventually it was completely clear. And I haven't had a problem with overheating at all. The fan will kick on only when driving in 90+ outdoor temps and doing the busy city street shuffle. Driving at high speeds bring the temps down. No leaks either.
