Slight hesitation when revving from idle Posted by Alanb [Email] (#722) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Alanb) on Wed, 1 Aug 2001 04:58:49 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I've posted about this a while ago but hope someone has some new suggestions:
When hot or cold (although it is worse when cold) if I blip the throttle at idle the revs intially dip a little and then it revs. Therefore, at idle the throttle response is poor. Once about 1500rpm or so throttle response is fine.
Apart from this the car runs very well (i.e. stable idle, no misfiring etc).
I've changed the AMM, checked tps, changed the idle control valve, checked for air leaks/replaced all vacuum hoses and have had the car checked by a Saab main dealer. Their verdict was that this 'fault' is inherent to the LH 2.2. system. Is this correct?
The only other symptom is that occasionally on very light throttle openings the car will jerk as if I had lifted off the throttle and then reapplied it quickly.
Thanks for any suggestions.
