I'm in a little bit of a cash bind right now (especially considering I need to save for a replacement trans for the car), but need to drop the car about an inch or so front and rear. I've switched to a low profile tire, while retaining 15" rims, and the car just flat out looks funny with all that wheel well showing. Since I can't really afford new drop springs, I have seriously entertained the idea of just chopping about 1/4 coil off each spring, maybe a half coil. Has anyone done this before?
