Well if they are nicked up and curbed, I'm not sure how to fix that. If the paint is just faded though, you can get some paint thinner (make sure to get the stuff that will not react with aluminum) and put that on to take the clear coat off. That alone will usually shine it up a bit, possibly a great deal if some road liquid had corroded/reacted with the clearcoat and screwed it up. If youre going to paint it, well, you may want to pay a place to do it for you if you want an easy way out. Alternatively, you could find a highly recommended paint shop in your area and they will usually have book you can flip through with thousands of colors and you pick out what you like, and they'll mix it for you and many places can put it into a pressurized spray can so you dont have to have a spray gun and compressor. Ive done this on 2 sets of rims. Both times I opted to use spray paint from Home Depot because it still looked a lot better than beforehand.
