Hi Randy,
In continuation to the EGR dialog you have inspired, I have a few questions for you.
What exactly were your initial symptoms?
I know you would get the CE light during a drive, but would it come on after the car warmed and stay on or would it just blip on for a few minutes and go off? When unplugged (as it was when I got the SPG) mine will come on aftter a few minutes of driving and stay on. When I reconnnect, it comes on after the same initial period but only stays on for a minute or so. Kinda weird.
What are you boosting? Does this system affect boost? I ask because I have a couple other flaky things going on such as a stumble/hesitation when accelerating in the lower gears. I also have an oil leak through the distributor which could be fouling the dist., but I have yet to figure what is causing the crankcase pressure to create this leak...
And last, was your resistor trick as easy as it looked? It appears that you simply soldered a resistor to the two pins in the EGR connector harness. What did you do with the other connector?
