Assuming that your motor mounts have gone, you'll need to replace them. Youcould try jacking up the engine on that side high enough to get the tripod back in, this is a nasty way to do it. Replace the mounts. You can undo the ball joints at the control arm and wiggle the spindle far enough out to get the shaft back in place. Chances are the inner boot has been torn. To do it properly you need to undo the outer shaft nut along with the above and remeove the shaft altogether. Definitely replace the mounts.
