In general, you need to buy the Bentley manual which has much good info.
I found during my 134A conversion that:
*The stickers underhood did not agree with quantities in Bentley
*The location of charge fitting is very confusing!
*Further confusion comes since the quantity of 134A is reduced from
that of the original R12.
Some of my grief was reduced by purchasing of a new hose set. This has charge fittings clearly on each line, not on the compressor. The low side is the line coming from your RH side cabin firewall (the evaporator), and the high side is the line going to the condenser behind your front grill.
Try to use the Oz. recommendations of oil from BENTLEY. For the final word on charging amounts of R134A, you need only to get it close (less I think is better), then fire it up and get readings on a good hot day. A 134A charge table should be your guide, which gives you the pressures you should have for any ambient temp. Last guide is the sight gage in the filter/dryer is supposed to run "clear" when properly charged (no bubbles), but I have found this difficult to define. The gage set is the final answer.
