Thanks for your help. Maybe the easiest thing for me to do is call the dealer I bought the car from, the previous owner of the car was a mechanic there. It was an '87 and yes, the wing was discontinued that year or shortly thereafter. Sometimes I get an "eyeroll" from the dealer for peculiar requests though. The service people I started with are long gone.
This was a factory part, it required drilling in the hatch and rear quarters. I have only seen a few on the road, but it was out there. It is definitely not the convertible wing. I'm working on finding pics, but the car was black and so was the wing, so it's hard to find one good enough for e-mail. But I should have something by the end of the week, I took a bunch at the Maine Forest Rally with the Saab team in '98(?)I must have them somewhere! Looking at all the pics in the links is tough. It makes me want the car again, but I'm trying to give up on classic 900s, including the SPG I own now.
