Seems the main issue is that a 6 pin blue wire runs from the radio amp to the rear amp. What are these connections??? In any case, to avoid the amp, just patch in speaker wires from your new unit to the rear speaker wires as they come out of the rear amp. Is using the rear amp necessary with a more powerful head unit???
Speakers:
right rear: pos. red/white neg: blue/white
Left rear: pos bro/white neg: greem/white
Black is always ground
Red is switched power ( from ignition )
Gray is constant power ( for radio memory )
Green ( off radio ) is antenna trigger
Bro/white is illumination
By the way, what are you doing with your existing radio/ cassette and radio carriage/ front amp? I could certainly use them if they still work. Let me know. My amp has crashed.
Again, the big question is how the amp gets input from the radio/ cassette? Let me know how you make out. Try calling a Circuit City to see if any techs have the answer. Crutchfield could tell you if you appear like you're buying a system.
