I am not sure if your car is late enough to have the rubber block for the shifter linkage, but if it does I would bet that is bad and split in half.If it had the metal collar type linkage then it is going to be a little bit harder to diagnose. If the clutch was REALLY bad before you had it replaced and it was ruining the synchros then that may be a problem. Could be something broken in your shifter linkage on the stick itself. See if you can remove the shiter boot on the stick and see if the torx screws holding the shift stick retaining plate in the housing is loose. There will be three of them, sometimes they come loose and you get too much slop in the shifter to engage gears. Could be a few other things but I think those are the most common.
Good luck
