Hi, Bill
I have one, and it's neat. I bought the RRFPR and the balanced/matched oversized blue injectors from SPG9 as part of a series of upgrades I did to my car last summer.
As far as results and value for the dollar, I think that's an individual matter. I can't say if it would be worth it for you or not.
I started my upgrade with a new APC -- their Stage II unit. It immediately gave me better boost, up into the redzone about 1/3 of the way maximum. But with more combustion air, there was a need for more fuel, and I saw boost twitch (onset of knock) caused by fuel leaning. The boost gauge would only stay a little of the way into the red on a sustained boost accel. The stock FPR and injectors were a limiting factor.
Once I did the fuel upgrade, I noticed a difference. I was hitting higher boost (about 1/2 redzone maximum) but there was still some twitchiness. Boost levels were higher, though. There was a surprising side benefit -- my engine was quieter! I hadn't realized how noisy the old injectors were until I replaced them.
I did a few more mods and upgrades right after that, but the most significant one after the RRFPR and new injectors was their Advanced Ignition Diaphram, or AID. Once I had the new APC and the upgraded fuel system, my boost performance was being limited by ignition timing, and the AID cured it. I was able to sustain top of the redzone boost without any detectable twitch or knock. I have de-tuned the system down to 2/3 redzone now, which is plenty. I spent around $1100 for SPG9 goodies, but I'm very happy with them.
Incidentally, as a result of the upgrades, my mileage improved, which also surprised me... largely that's a result, I'm told, of changing the base timing setting from 16 degrees BTDC to around 22. The AID allows another 6 degrees of timing advance. The RRFPR and injectors probably help now with better atomization and spray pattern than my old worn injectors had. I've told my wife that in only another 17 years or so, the upgrades will pay for themselves with the gas I've saved!
Bottom line is, your results with the RRFPR will depend on what other things you do with your car. If you aren't after high boost, you can live without it. All it does is give you a little more fuel pressure when you're boosting, without having the continual high pressure in the system the rest of the time when you don't need it (as with just putting in a 3.0 bar FPR.) By itself, I'm not certain you'd really notice much difference with the RRFPR, particularly if you're still running the stock injectors and an unmodified APC. As a =part= of a performance upgrade package, I'd say it was worthwhile. But that's just my opinion.
