Clean all grounds, bently has a list of locations. Also, check the positive or red cable from the battery to the starter motor / solenoid. Sometimes the insulation on the cable cracks or turns to goo. Especially around the retaining clamps. A long term or intermittent short to ground can cause your battery to overheat and boil over. Put a voltmeter across your battery while car is running, to check the voltage regulator, (specs in Bently) If the battery cables and ground points are OK, then it's probably the voltage regulator / alternator assembly.
