Don't overtorque the drain plug. There has been more than one post on here with a cracked tranny casing due to overtorque. Maybe the auto tranny casing is stronger but I wouldn't push my luck. I like using the metal washers that have an oring bonded to the inner edge. They're something like $1.50 at pepboys, size M14. WIth these, you don't have to overtorque to get it to seal up like you sometimes do with the standard brass washers. THat's probably why yours is so tight now.
