First off thank you to ChipJ, BJ, Marko, DougM. For without the posts from you guys I'd be following a wrecker to my saab mechanic. But because of you I know see nice hubs and that is it.

Well I got the impact wrench didn't help. So I had a friend come over and were doing the breaker bar (named rita) didn't work so I stumped around. AHA finally a use for the intermidate pipe that didn't fit from my swedish dynamics cat back sports exhaust. And sure enough he held it firm on why I cranked a 46" converted breaker bar and SNAP!!!! At first I was like ok drill time the nut snapped but sure enough it broke loose. And idd it on the other. So now there off then the rotors. On the 86 you have to torx screws not the one torx screw and one pin. Stripped them with a torx socket set. So I drill the head off and sure enough the thrilled just came off.

So pretty much no worse for wear I just need to go to the dealer to order those torx screws and I'm ready to reinstall once the calipers and u pins show up.

AGAIN thanks guys I made some rookie mistakes and I'm really not a rookie on working on cars. I race sport compacts, therefor I fix sport compacts. Saabs are great cars made a little different than I'm used to but the challenge is great.

A happy to be a saab owner once again. Photos of these ancient rotors to come as well as a report of my brand new complete front braking system.

Rear was replaced last year.
