I've been having weird intermittant stalling and non-starting for the last few months. Sometimes while I'm driving the idle will spike to 1500, then if I turn off the engine it won't start again unless I do the following: unplug the AMM (puts it in limp-home mode?) and floor the gas pedal while starting. Usually I'll get it home and it will work again the next morning! I have swapped the AMM with two others, and swapped the ECU and AIC valve as well. Could the problem be in my wiring harness? I have noticed a few times that water near the engine has caused the symptoms. Also, once I rotated one of the injectors and the idle went significantly higher. Is there a way to test the continuity of the wires from the engine bay to the ECU? I do have a good multimeter, but tracing the wires seems almost impossible (color-coded?). Does anyone know any methods I could use, or if the harnesses in this year 900T are notorious for this? I would take the car to a good Saab mechanic, but this only happens about once a month so it might be hard for him to find a problem such as an intermittant short.
