Wednesday I lost complete control of my SPG driving only 20 mph on a four lane street with no other traffic. I did kill a goose in the lane next to me. And as it turns out my guardian angel was working over time.
After delivering my car via flat bed to my mechanics they found that the lower control arm retaining bolts had no nuts, and fell out while we had the car on the lift. They were bent and loose. My loss of control was caused by the lower control arm to spliting at the weld and etc. etc. etc.
They wanted to know who last worked on the car - Andrews of Princeton, Inc.
The mechanics had some other Andrews stories........ What the heck. We also had a new CV boot installed on my car that I wasn't told about or billed for.......I wonder what happened to that....... gees.
Earlier this spring I had stopped going to Andrews this spring simply because of what I felt were annoying quality issues and huge wastes of my time: Central locking wires repaired 3 times, but needs a 4th visit(they publish a FAQ on this fix too); and a two visit distributor wire redo - and the like. Shop dents etc. And my uge pet peeve 'clean car returned dirty car'. I had faxed them a complaint about these issues as when the "Andrews" did the wench turning this stuff didn't happen - and since they are christain business people I thought they should have an opportunity to save their business....but....I intially got the universal lawyer type weasel language - until they figured out I was NOT sueing them, I just trying to let them know some of their employees were letting them down.
Now after this bolt thing I'm really pissed. Who else has an Andrews story?
