Befor i start disassembeling I thought i would ask for other opinions and advice. To advance on the performance of my 87' 900 Turbo I have decided to garage it for a while and try to re-format the engine space for ultimate air intake. As some might have observed the factory formated air intake on any saab 900 is very restrictive, with many twists and turns with small and curvy intake pipes. my idea is move the turbo charger directly next to the exhaust manifold, have the air intake directy under the right head lamp (passenger side american), and then one or two pipes curving directly to the intercooler. my first step, however, would be to take out any unnessassary equipment, which lead me to the Air Conditioner. if i am to remove all components of the AC system (compressor, condensor, evaporator, reciever, etc.) Will I be changing anything that effects any other aspect of my saab? i have thought about it for a while now and am ready, but i want to make sure that i dont start off with any problems. let me know what anybody thinks of all this? -SW
