The only problem is likely to be freeing the crank pully bolt. Locking the ring gear and using a long spanner may not be suffucient ( the leverage can just twist the engine on it's mounts) and you may have to resort to the brutal (but effective) method of using the starter motor to rotate a ring spanner against a block of wood jammed in the engine bay - several times the last time I did this. If you go this route - remove the plugs, the fuel pump relay and coil connections.
Clean everything off behind the pulley once it's off with some parrafin or engine cleaner before you remove the pump as it will be very messy if it's been leaking - road dirt mixed with oil - you don't want any of this getting into the pump area.
