a thousand times, but I just want to confirm. If everything goes well, I should be ordering a replacement trans for my 89 base tomorrow. It will probably be a while before I can get in the car tho.... :( Hopefully I can get it on a hoist at work when business slows down some. Anyway, the trans will be in pieces, and I will have to assemble it. I've got the mechnical knowhow (10 years of working on my own cars), just never been inside a Saab trans. Sounds like my best bet is the get the Bently manual, along with the trans section of the factory manual. I've got the instructions for dropping the trans out the bottom. Money might be tight then, so I will prolly wait on replaceing the clutch and drive chain (even tho I know I shouldn't). Is there anything that isn't a huge expense that I should think about replaceing while the trans is out? Keep in mind that I will most likely pull it out the bottom, and leave the engine in place. Anything else instuction wise I should have on hand?
