Check your upper shock bushings where they pass through the fenderwell. If they dry out and shrink the chrome damper rod hits the sheetmetal with any back to front movement. Try tightening the upper nut to take up any slack in the bushings first, se if that affects your noise before spending money.
This drove me nuts until I discovered it. You can buy new bushings but the shock is so hard to remove without damaging it that I would recommend sawing through the damper rod, remove the shock and install new shocks. Not sure what goes best for an SPG, I used Boge turbogas shocks on my 900s. Get em from Sobstory, about $40 each (SPGs may be higher)
Sobstory also has poly sway bar ends that may be needed, about $8 each side and easy to install.
