Water, not coolant, on floor

Pulled the front pass. mat yesterday looking for parking meter change, ARGGHH! The carpet is wet. It's not coolant so I think it's a leak from the BIG rain we had earlier in the week. I looked at the air cond plenum and the drain may be blocked, I'll clear it this wknd. Could I be getting water on the pass. floor through there? If not I'm thinking windshield moulding, firewall grommets, or floor/body rust. Although I didn't notice any rust the last time I was under the car and that area of the floor is well coated with 11 yrs of oil/grime undercoating. I'd be grateful for your thoughts as trying to hold a water hose over various parts of the SAAB whilst craning my neck under the dash looking for drips is a long and arduous task. Thanks
