If you put all the shims back where they came from you will be just fine. I would get the dealer to set up the pinion shaft and press on the new bearings. I would also plan on replacing the shims that fit between the pinion shaft and the reverse gear.
Take a hard look at the reverse gears
the 1-2 shift fork [the brass one] if the grooves across the face are gone change it[$100.00]
2nd gear syncro[just because][$50.00]
the lay shaft if any metal is missing[$100.00]
when you are looking at the gears remember it is the little teeth[where the syncros are] that are important. If these are worn so the are round get a new gear.
Make friends with anyone with used parts as each gear is about $150.00 the counter gear cluster is $450
