Hello all,
A couple months ago I decided I missed my '89 900S and went in search of another 900. I managed to pick up an '88 900 8V (no turbo) for a little over $1k with almost perfect paint/body. It has a little over 200K on the clock. Needless to say though it needed a little work but is basically in great shape.
Kimo's (as in Kimo-Saabie) rehabilitation has been making steady progress but I have a couple questions.
1. How difficult is it to change the valve shims? I haven't gotten in there yet but from the sound of it a valve adjustment is in order.
2. I've been toying with the thought of putting in a turbo to give it a little more oomph. Is there much difference in the K-Jet injection between the turbo and naturally aspirated models or would this be a fairly straight foreward addition- not looking to do the whole APC thing, just something like the origional 8V turbo models.
3. Is there a SAAB club in Georgia anymore? I had an email addr. for one around here somewhere but haven't ever gotten a reply so I'm sure it's no longer valid.
