Clutch cover removal necessary to replace hydraulic line?

I'm replacing my hydraulic line this weekend, which I ordered from eeuroparts.com...spoke with Todd, great service, free shipping. Highly recommended.
Do I need to remove the clutch cover to get at the hydraulic line below the slave bleed nipple? How many bolts hold the cover on and where are they located? I removed the top ones, and one each side of it, but the damn thing still won't come off. Perhaps related to this, I can't get an open end wrench around where the line goes into the slave. It is tight down there...any ideas?
Thanks. :-)
