This SAAB newbie family needs help. The '85 900 S manual trans. we picked up a year ago with 90K mi was running fine..gets 28 mpg (our nice safe teen car) Until recently, its obtained a quirk. usually after starting fine it runs until warmed up (usually the second trip of the day) then it goes about a mile or two and stalls out. usually in fourth gear. no warning. usually starts right up and gets home. No loss of power. no hesitation. no shift difficulties.(maybe an elusive electrical hot smell).
Of course it won't perform for anyone certified to carry a wrench.
Any one able to identify with this situation?
