Vacuum Question

Just replaced the heater valve :) However, there is a vacuum tee or junction located by cruise control under steering wheel, one end ran out to firewall. That end was not connected to anything in the engine area-what to connect it to? Also, one part of the junction was connected to cruise control, third tee in junction just had a 2" piece of open rubber hose-where does it go? Thanks everyone!
