Agree w other posts: WHY were they messing w the springs??? Both ball joints on either side takes me less than an hour. That's using a jack & jack stands in the driveway; no lift. Axle replacement at the same time adds an hour at the most.
So ball joints 2 x $30 = $60
Axle (from sponser) = $100
parts: $160
labor $440 !!!!
That works out to $175 per hour labor !!!!
Find an honest independant that works only on SAABS and other euro imports.
And I would ask the mech for a detailed list of exactly what and how he did the work.
