Coolant Cloud - Replace Radiator?

The joys of owning an old car! 92 base, 127k. During normal driving, a thin vapor of coolant now rises from the front of the car. One of the hoses appears a little glazed at the top, but the hose is dry, and the vapor really appears to be coming out the back of the radiator. Further, the fan is speckled white w/ what is probably dry coolant. Does this indicate a cracked radiator, and should I just go ahead and replace it? The car hasn't overheated after 100 miles. What kind of coolant should I add in the meantime? Thanks for the advice.
