The ECU test on full throttle TPS reading, might be the clue. Assuming the TPswitch is OK at both idle and WOT, the wiring might very well be bad between the TPS and the ECU. I forget the pin number on the ECU, but sounds like you you can find it!! BTW I'm pretty sure the WOT signal from the TPS, also puts the ECU/FI back into open loop.
Also, you might have a bad ground somewhere. Check the resistance between battery and the ECU and main relay ground(normally a no start problem area). Clean all main grounds to shiny bright, at radiator crossmember, trans bolt, and on head. If you swapped in a known good AMM, then the only other thing I can think of is the ECU itself. A swap is in order before you bite the bullet on the ECU.
